I think it is Sunday and I didn't sleep all night!

Good Morning,

Well it is 0714am and I didn't sleep all night. We went to a wedding at 430pm yesterday. It started late cause people were strolling in at 450. Imagine that. Cant people read the invite?????

I had a migraine and the music was killing my head big time!!!!! They shut down the dancing early cause and kicked everyone out about 1030pm cause someone got drunk and fell into the dj speakers and smashed them to smitherenes. They were suppossed to go till midnight. We were sitting at the table and were told to get up and leave!!!!! I was like what!!!!! but I was ready to go cause by that time my head was pounding. 

I am gearing up the plans for  Thanksgiving. My plans are to drive down to Ft Lauderdale to spend the weekend looking for a house to rent. I want to move down there to be near my friend. So maybe a move is in my future. Not sure if Im going to do it or not. it is more money to live there. Carl doesn't want to move but I do. So I'm making him go and look. 

We are going to Chicago on December 16 for a week but might change the date cause My other cousin is graduating college for her 2nd degree... She is 60 and wants to become a nurse practitioner. so she is getting an 2nd batchelors first. So we are having a party for her but not sure of the date. So I have to change my date for leaving for Chicago. So we shall see.

Good Morning Carla and Family,

Carla, I'm sorry your headache ruined your night's sleep.  I hope it is gone now.  I had a migraine one day in Michigan, and that was the day we took the kids bowling.  Thank God the lanes were not too full, so the noise level wasn't what it could've been.  Sounds like the wedding was a bust for most of the guests.  It's a shame that someone ruined it for the bride, groom, and guests. 

I am kicking myself for not getting moving earlier this morning.  There's an AA meeting I like to attend at 8:00 am, and I was running too late to make it.  I'll try better next week.

I'm getting ready to head to church.  Today, I drop off the baskets of food for the needy that come to our food pantries.  The members of the congregation each took a basket(s) and a card of what to buy.  Then, we filled them, and today they are being taken to the homes of those who come to our food pantry.  It's our way of reaching out to the community, and getting to know the people more than just when they come to get to the food.  Because my car was crazy last week, I didn't sign up to take a basket to the homes, but I did fill two baskets.  Basically, we were to buy everything that the families would need for Thanksgiving dinner, except the turkeys.  I guess the organizers of the pantry bought them, probably at a discount.  You know, cans of green beans, corn, gravy, cranberry sauce, rolls, a bag of potatoes, stuffing mix, and a dessert.  I bought brownie mixes.  

Anyway, I have more cleaning, purging to do for my hopeful move to Michigan.  Put several bags of clothes together for the Salvation Army Thrift Store.  Also, several bags to the trash.  I have one side of my basement complete.  The bigger job is the other side.  I also went through half my closet.  Did the tops and blazers.  Now for the slacks and skirts.  

I also must get to a meeting sometime today.  Not sure when, or where.  But, will get there.

Where in Michigan are you moving to? My sister lives in Dewitt. it is near East Lansing. I get there a lot. Mostly when I go to Chicago I try to sneak away.!!!!!!

My daughter lives in Perry, also near East Lansing.  Not 100% sure this is going to become a reality.  I'll know in a week or two.

Well yesterday was speny loafing around at home...ahhh nice and quiet!!! SHHH need today to remain like that also!!

Rick's mom called him last night asking if it was ok that Joe (Rick's brother) and his Fiance Stephen come  with her for a visit. Rick said he would ask me...he did...I said if he (Stephen) gets in my face like he did on FB he will be having his nuts in his throat for sure! This dude? doesn't even know me and if he can't take my kidding with Joe...who needs him??????? I have NOTHING against gay people but this couple really gets to me especially when they post their lives all over FB along with detailed photos!!!!!!!!! So to me posting on FB like that leaves it open to kidding right???? Like I said...he doesn't even know me and how I kid around with Joe...maybe he is jealous? Not sure. BUT they come to MY home and he starts in on me like he did on FB...they are gone!!!!!!!!!! NOT having that crap in MY home!!!!!!!!!! Sorry for ranting on this...and again I do NOT have anything against gays at all.

Opened up the clubhouses this morning and had a tenant stop me and say again how much she enjoyed our Thanksgiving dinner the other day! Made me feel good again. Planning on the Christmas dinner now. Was going to have it on the 12th but now I am thinking the 19th. It will give me more time to get more "gifts" so that everyone that attends the dinner will get a gift. I am going to the dollar stores picking up things that don't look like it came from the dollar store. So far I have word search books, candles, holiday towels, holiday pot holders, & potpouri. Might have some other things but can't think of what right now. I am also making some knit hats that I will also include. LOVE making those hats! Need to get more yarn again...lol.

Talked to my mom yesterday. She asked me if we were coming home for Christmas. Right now I don't see how we can afford to do that unless we get a nice sized bonus. Not sure IF they give bonuses or not here. Guess we wait and see huh? LOL

Need to get the tress up and decorated in the club houses. Getting alot of tenants renting it for thier holiday so that makes it hard for me to do on the weekends...guess I will have to do it during the week. Just don't want people coming in there to interfere with how I am doing it ya know. Last year we did it after the club houses were locked up. I don't want to do it that late again. Oh well.

Got a beef roast out for supper today...be good to have something else besides turkey again! Been eating alot of turkey since wednesday...and now we will be cooking another one Thanksgiving!!! OMG.

Well Rick wants to take a ride to LOWE'S so best get my butt in gear and get ready to go.

Migraine are not fun that is a sure thing!    FOr the most part  I can,t function with one  I just head to bed with a knock pill.    Sometimes though  if I am functioning its weird.   I act normal   but I must go someplace else in my mind because I dont remember anything.    I guess I block out the pain that way.     I hope yours is gone today.

Carla...that wedding sounds like it was a mess. First late and them the other problems. I feel sorry for the bride and groom and all the rest of you folks too. You are a trooper going to a wedding with a migraine. Hope you feel better today.

Hello my beautiful OFF sistas!

I'm late to the party today, so I won't try to respond to everyone.  I could never remember it all anyway.  LOL!

My day has been a mix of sad and happy.  Sad because I had to put Butch on a plane to Saudi again this morning.  Happy because I got to go Christmas shopping while I was in San Antonio.  I am way behind, but I did get started buying some gifts this afternoon. I need to get organized. I feel very discombobulated by the whole frantic move thing. Now I just need to take a deep breath and make up some lists and figure out how I'm going to do everything.

I did better with my eating yesterday, and even better yet today, but boy, it is hard to make the sugar demon go back to sleep again.  I should never have started munching on sweets again.  It's just too hard to curb those cravings once they start up.  Even this evening, in the grocery store, I kept picking up sweets and putting them in the basket, then the next aisle over I would take them back out of the basket again!  Am I crazy in the head or what?  LOL!  I did buy a frozen pumpkin pie for Thursday and some squirty whipped cream.  There's no reason the rest of my family can't have a dessert.  I also bought some Rice Krispies and some marshmallows to make some rice krispie treats for Benny to take to preschool this week.

My lake house is a total wreck right now with all these boxes and things.  It's making me a little crazy.  I can't stand all this clutter.  Makes me feel a little frantic and out of control.  So tomorrow I will start setting everything to rights again.  But I gave myself today off so that I could shop.  Besides I didn't have the baby with me today and that was sheer heaven!  I can clean house and straighten tomorrow while he's in preschool.

Trish, you have my complete and utter sympathy with your upcoming (maybe!) move!  Carla, you, too.  And also Eileen.  Whew!  Moving is the pits while it's happening.  I sure hope it all goes well for each of you.  Connie, honey, I'm sorry you're still dealing with so much pain and feeling so bad.  I hope it lets up for you soon.

Carla sounds like a wild kinda wedding.  Have a good time in FLL for Thanksgiving wish I where there instead of here.  I was supposed to be going out of there for a cruise 12/3 but switched to one going out of NJ.  Give you wonderful cousin a big for me how awesome for her and 60, amazing.

Tri**** will be nice if it works out that you will be close to your grandkids in MI.  Moving is the pits.

I spent yesterday with my brother up from Texas.  Apparently his wife wasn’t giving us all the fact.  He has to go back next week.  He has the choice of 4 more moths of chemo without results showing expectations and quality of life.  We were told the surgery got the cancer and the additional chemo was just a precaution.  He is 40!  Two years ago I lost my other brother with the same and he was 40.  Last year I lost my Dad 79 with the same.  They farm
